You purchase the numbers you need and assemble your address accordingly. Using power from the sun, each letter stores power in an encased Ni-MH battery - included. At dusk the unit turns on automatically lighting two super-bright white LEDs. The lights run on the solar charged 700 mAh AAA Ni-MH battery for 8 to 10 hours. This may vary depending on the installation - such as in the shade. Directly sunlit locations are best for longest run-times. The numeral plate itself is spaced 1" from the wall so that the LEDs light the background creating the effect of an eclipse - making the numbers easy to read both day and night The entire unit is sealed and completely weather resistant.
