Walnut is the material of choice for fine furniture and solid walnut is ued throughout for the new Gathering Block Tables.  Also available with a Solid Northern Maple end-grain top.  Designed to serve as a central kitchen island or food prep station, and providing quick and easy access to and from counters, sinks, refrigerator, and range areas this is the Solid Walnut Gathering Block.

The top surface you get is 4" thick solid, END GRAIN, American Walnut or Northern Hard Rock Maple.  It's as rugged as they come, but simple to maintain.  Solid 4" square legs, finished in your choice of colors, support the heavy butcher block and provide a rustic look.  Up to three large wicker basket drawers mounted under the top are accessable from either side and slide out for quick access to stored utensils, recipe ingredients, cookbooks and more.  Slatted lower shelf gives you additional storage capaicty. 

The Gathering Block table will serve as your place for gathering around and discussing the events of the day, or what's next on the menu!
