Security Drop-Door Mechanism and Operation, 3 stages.

As the security-drop door mechanism is opened, a unique security door extends towards  the back of the unit, blocking access to items previously  deposited and held in the secure storage compartment (or Hold).

Stage 1 (door in closed position)

Stage 2 (door partially open)

Stage 3 (security door fully engaged)

Note: The images shown are cross sections of the unique security-drop door mechanism. The package access door located in the rear of the unit,  the side of the unit has been cut-away and the security-drop door gusset  have been removed for easy viewing. The unique one-piece pivot linkage  is not visible or accessible on production units.
