The Old German Mailbox |

BREIFKASTEN means "mailbox"
NAECHSTE ABHOLUNG means "next pickup" and harks back to the time in Old Europe these boxes were used as public mail-drop boxes. |
Suitable to larger homes and estates, the Old German Mailbox is very large and heavy - 70 lbs. You can specify any text, both on the top plate and on the incoming mail slot - see below. The Old German Mailbox conjures up images of Old World European mansions and days of horse-drawn carriages. Each sand-cast solid aluminum mailbox is custom made for you, and no two are exactly alike - although they are very, very close to our photo.
Incoming mail slot is
16" x 2½" - big enough for the largest envelopes and small packages. Locking mail-removal door is supplied with two keys - your choice of a non-locking turning knob closure. (Look closely at the left center of the mailbox to see the lock and key location.) Your choice of eight finishes. Hand made in Germany and shipped freight-free to your door.
