Surface Mount or Direct Burial

Some Special Lite Mailbox Posts can be surface mounted only, while some are suitable for direct burial only.  Some Special Lite Mailbox Posts can be installed using either method.

A surface-mountable post can be attached to a pre-existing cement footer using "Red Head" bolts or similar screw-and-sinker arrangements found at your local hardware supply.  The direct burial kit includes J-bolts as shown and an 18" section, all of which are buried in freshly-poured cement
