Regular Length Posts require a
4 x 4 wood post to be used in conjunction with the metal post.  Extra long posts are significantly longer than  regular length posts, and are meant for direct burial - no 4 x 4 required.   Due to their size, however we cannot offer free shipping for extra-long posts.
