A word about Chrome Plate and Polished Nickel: Although the two plating processes yield products very close to each other, there is indeed a difference, albeit subtle.  Chrome is clear "white" - i.e., has no color whatsoever.  Nickel is a different metal and has a slight reddish-yellow cast to it.  Slight.
