And here's a mailbox reminiscent of the "good old" days when the Old World postman indeed blew his bugle. Designed to be bolted to a cement "pad" this sand-cast solid aluminum mailbox weighs 35 lbs, including the post. You can specify any text you'd like on the incoming mail slot which reads POSTBRIEFKASTEN by default - meaning "post-mailbox". This German-made Mailbox is custom made for you, and no two are exactly alike - although they are very, very close to our photo. The Mailbox back is flat. The incoming mail slot is 11 3/4" x 1 3/4" - large enough for the biggest envelopes. Locking mail-removal door is supplied with two keys - your choice of a non-locking turning knob closure. Non-standard post heights are available, to allow for unusual curb heights or delivery requirements +/- 5". Hand made in Germany and shipped freight-free to your door.
