We reccommend AGAINST using a 3½" x 3½" (nominal 4 x 4 posts) found in home centers and lumber yards. These mailboxes weight 40 lbs to 62 lbs and may not be supported adequately by posts smaller than 6 x 6.

Posts are nominally sized as is most lumber. The Veeders posts therefore actually measure 5½" x 5½".
Posts are delivered UNFINISHED. They can be left unfinished since they're treated, and they'll last 50 or more years. The posts can also be stained or painted, according to your preference. If you have special mounting needs please contact us. In most cases the mounting flanges can be set at different widths for a small or no additional charge. ORDER BELOW, LEFT. |
